Established in 1975 by our very own Ben Nathan, Oak Chips Inc. (OCI) is the original developer and manufacturer of high-quality toasted oak chips and alternatives. As a 35-year-old, Ben created the concept of the toasted oak chip and created a successful company that is now run by his two sons, Todd and Jake Nathan. Over the years, we have researched and perfected not only the toasting of the oak but the actual oak selection itself, fine Appalachian oaks.
The natural extracts from oak trees provide our alternatives to contribute to an improved bouquet and flavor of wines and spirits. OCI offers an extensive variety of products in both American and French Oak. Our all-inclusive series will enable our customers to choose the best and most appropriate oak alternative for their desired application.
